The marquee sign at Wrigley Field is among the most iconic images in sports, accented with a decorative white border. The sign sits behind home plate at Clark and Addison... home of day baseball every summer.

Inspired by Wrigley Field marquee located on the stadium at the home plate gate. Baseball card artist Matthew Lee Rosen repurposes junk wax to celebrate the pop culture of America's pastime. The smell of chewing gum and card stock triggers fond memories for anyone who opened up wax packs as a kid in the 1980’s. His work aims to recapture that part of our childhood. We've partnered with him to design a series of bats that, hopefully, transport you back to the good 'ol eighties. Cheers!

Commemorate your love of the game with a Pillbox Art Bat.  Each bat is crafted at our shop in Winona, Minnesota. While we only use high quality hand-split wood for our art bats, they are un-weighed and untested for game use. Though they are not intended for game use, they will surely intimidate any opponent and make a great addition to your baseball memorabilia collection.

WE ONLY USE HAND-SPLIT WOOD FOR EVERY ART BAT!

STANDARD GRADE MAPLE AND ASH: All of the wood for our art bats is selected from hand-split stock - the same way they did it in the old days. Why is this important? It's all about getting the straightest grain possible. Nowadays, many wood providers use large saw equipment to cut lumber, producing high yields but also cutting across the face or tangential grain. Hand-split, lumber naturally follows the tangential grain, strengthening the bat and lets the wood’s natural beauty shine through.

HAND-PAINTED QUALITY

Each art design goes through a process of hand-painting with stencils and spray paint, laser engraving or even select designs employ screen printing to get all of the details just right.
