"Marquee" - Rosen Artist Series
The marquee sign at Wrigley Field is among the most iconic images in sports, accented with a decorative white border. The sign sits behind home plate at Clark and Addison... home of day baseball every summer.
Inspired by Wrigley Field marquee located on the stadium at the home plate gate. Baseball card artist Matthew Lee Rosen repurposes junk wax to celebrate the pop culture of America's pastime. The smell of chewing gum and card stock triggers fond memories for anyone who opened up wax packs as a kid in the 1980’s. His work aims to recapture that part of our childhood. We've partnered with him to design a series of bats that, hopefully, transport you back to the good 'ol eighties. Cheers!
Every Pillbox artist baseball bat is crafted and painted at our shop in Winona, Minnesota. Each is 34 inches long and emblazoned with the Pillbox Bat Co. mark just above the grip and an enamel pin inlaid into the knob. Hang it on the wall or lather up the pine tar and put 'er to use in a pickup game with the folks around your cul-de-sac. Playball!
